The characters in Everybody's Golf – or Hot Shots Golf, in America – have been dutifully playing holes to show off Sony hardware for fourteen years now. And they're all still smiling! They must have immense job satisfaction. As reliable a staple of a Sony launch as Ridge Racer, Everybody's Golf is an able standard-bearer for the Vita's feature set, showing how touch-screen control, the back-touch pad and AR can adapt a classic formula without actually revolutionising anything.
Whether you're into the cutesy graphics or not, Everybody's Golf 6 is a pretty game. Dragging my finger across the sky as my little golfer lined up her shot, I could change the weather and time of day dynamically. I presume this was a demo feature only, but seeing the lighting change without skipping a beat whilst I scrolled from dawn to an orangey late sunset was impressive all by itself.
